What Is It?

Our Cold-Pressed Chia Seed Oil is obtained from whole chia seeds that are organically grown and sustainably harvested in the Andean regions. This oil is exceptionally high in omega-3 fats (up to 63%) and has an ideal balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids (ratio of 3 to 1).

Why is this balanced ratio important? Because our modern diet tends to be deficient in Omega-3 fatty acids while being loaded with excessive Omega-6 fats (due to the prevalent use of polyunsaturated vegetable oils). Too much Omega-6 (and insufficient Omega-3) can lead to inflammation which is associated with almost all degenerative conditions from joint pain, cancer to heart disease.

Due to its naturally occurring antioxidants, Chia Seed Oil does not require additives nor preservatives to maintain its nutritional value and stability over time.

Nature’s Superfoods’ Cold-Pressed Chia Seed oil is mechanically extracted through a cold-pressing process without the use of chemicals or solvents at low temperatures preserving all the essential fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidant properties.
